When you revisit your business plan in 2020 (or actually start it), incorporate this personal-fulfillment thought process into your marketing and business development strategy.
Consider whether there are those in your target audience who share in the same personal interests as you outside of the office. If you’re not sure what their interests are, ask. Make these conversations inspire you to think outside the box in building relationships and standing out in the sea of lawyers. There’s more to networking than lunches, cocktails, and golfing.
So in 2020, be courageous in incorporating your personal interests into the marketing and business development mix. Make building relationships more personally fulfilling, enjoyable, and relaxing.
